Welcome to the home of Melting Pot Theatre, in lovely Bundanoon here in the Southern Highlands of NSW.

NOW is the time to start writing those plays. Don't leave it until the last minute. Give yourselves plenty of time to work on your ideas, and finesse them.

If you haven't tried your hand at writing a 10 min play before, NOW is the time to give it a try.
Everyone writing plays for Crash Test plucked up the courage and wrote their first play at some time. A lot of these writers are now writing really good and entertaining pieces.
We all have to start somewhere - now is YOUR time to start.

Handy Hints:

a) Try keep the number of roles to a minimum - 2 or 3 if possible, or 4 if you need to. Remember we have a finite number of actors to perform these roles.
b) Try to give your story a beginning, middle and an end
c) Time your play. Read it through several times. Plays must be kept to 10 min or less.
d) It's helpful to number your pages
e) Do provide a Title Page. This is the front page on which you should include
Title of Play
Writer's name and contact details
The Log Line - this is a one-sentence succinct summary of your play, which gives an insight into the theme of the story. This should appear just below the play's Title.

Get to work on those plays now. Send them in, and they will be placed in the repository of plays from which we will select 8 to be performed at the next CRASH TEST DRAMA on Sat. 17th March 2018. The deadline for contributing your play is Friday 9th March 2018.

We especially look forward to receiving plays from first time writers, as well as our regular contributors.

Huge thanks to Miranda Lean for agreeing to take on the role of Artistic Director of the Variety Show this year and making it so special. You're a real trooper as well as hugely talented !!
We deeply appreciate the contribution made by each of the performers - thank you so much for entertaining us so well, and with such great spirit, with a special mention to the talented OJ Rushton, whose huge contribution became the glue that connected all the pieces into one.

A massive thank you to all of the support team - committee members and volunteers who helped to make the Xmas Variety Show the huge success it was.

Special mention to Stage Manager Paul Spicer and his able backstage assistants, Geoff Lean, Katie Locke and Paula Spicer. They worked incredibly hard and were largely responsible for ensuring the program ran smoothly and efficiently. Thanks Team !!

Annie Goodridge and Brian Banting did a wonderful job of managing the lighting and sound from "The Loft", high above the heads of the audience - grateful thanks to you.

Thanks also to the continued support of Joy Brown and Barry and Christine Miller.

And a special mention to the hard working Gill Brennan, who is always there when help is needed, and who contributes way above and beyond the call ...................... thank you Gill !!

Our wonderful committee is losing member Geoff McCubbin, who is stepping down after several years of dedicated support.
We thank you for all the work you have done for us Geoff - but we know you will still be around to contribute plays and your acting skills!

There are many others too many to mention - but we remain deeply grateful for all of their support.
Melting Pot Theatre couldn't exist, couldn't function, if it weren't for the supporters.
If you would like a chance to help us out in some way, please send us a message.

2018 Committee will be:
